V3 announces the launch of a new distribution partnership with Ctrip. The integrated two-way XML connection provides Australian and Indonesian tourism operators access to China’s booming online travel market. Ctrip is China’s largest online travel service provider, and this places V3’s TXA and ITX clients at the forefront of the rapidly increasing outbound Chinese traveler market.
The distribution partnership sees Ctrip integrated to V3’s Open Booking Exchange with over two hundred other local, national and international sales channels distributing ITX and TXA inventory. It opens a new world of opportunity to the 15,000 plus tourism businesses connected to TXA and ITX, particularly for smaller boutique operators that have found it difficult to access the Chinese market.
As China’s largest travel marketplace, Ctrip is the powerhouse of the booming China travel market. This integration means Chinese travelers heading to Australia and/or Indonesia can choose between literally thousands of unique properties. And now Indonesian and Australian properties connected to ITX and TXA benefit from exposure to the China market through Ctrip’s full distribution network.
“We are pleased to announce this new partnership with V3 for the Australian and Indonesian markets” says CTrip. “This XML integration, gives thousands of properties using V3’s OBX platform, in Australia under TXA, and Indonesia under ITX, direct access to the hundreds of millions of travelers in China visiting and searching CTrip every year.
V3 is a recognized leader in exchange platform technology for the tourism industry delivering not only increased exposure but also efficiencies through automation of the management of tourism businesses inventory distribution, content, availability and rates online.
Shane Crockett, CEO of V3 says, “Tourism business operators, whether in Australia, Indonesia or elsewhere, and particularly the smaller businesses have long been hugely challenged in gaining visibility in China. Chinese traveler preferences have shifted towards independent travelling and smaller, more personal and experiential properties, and integration partnerships such as V3’s TXA and ITX with Ctrip, are crucial for the continued growth of individual operators and the industry, particularly of online bookings.”
V3 is a technology and marketing company established in 2001. V3’s Open Booking ExchangeTM (OBXTM) travel platform was chosen by tender to deliver the technology platform which is branded Tourism Exchange Australia (TXA) in Australia. In partnership with all of the Government Tourism bodies in Australia, V3 has deployed TXA nationally. V3’s OBX travel platform also operates in Indonesia branded Indonesia Tourism Exchange (ITX).
